Due to the 0403 earthquake, there are multiple damages in the dormitory area, causing many students to leave their dorms for safety.
However, a fire alarm occurred in the Science & Engineering Building I, causing a risk of harmful gases entering the campus air.
The Student Affairs Office has advised students on campus grounds to evacuate. We urge students who are still outside to quickly seek shelter indoors and close all doors and windows.

Recognizing that many students may lack adequate resting conditions in their dormitories, the Student Association has decided to open up the Mirror Room in Jiexian basement as temporary rest areas.
These areas will be open until the fire alarm is lifted, providing air conditioning and bottled water.
Students in need are encouraged to make use of these facilities.
