In the political sphere, gender-based violence is not merely malicious comments or personal attacks. It is often embedded within institutions and cultural norms, forming structural oppression that can be difficult to recognize. This lecture will guide participants through the various forms that gender-based violence can take within political contexts.
👤 Speaker | Professor Lin Li-Shan
Department and Graduate Institute of Public Administration, Central Police University
Professor Lin specializes in gender studies, police ethics, postmodern philosophy, and human rights education. She has authored several important publications and has long served on gender equality and sexual harassment prevention committees across various levels of government. She previously served as Chair of the Department of Public Administration and Director of the General Education Center at CPU, and has received multiple awards for teaching and research excellence. Professor Lin is frequently invited to speak on gender issues, law enforcement ethics, and critical thinking—offering both rigorous scholarship and deep insight.

- This event is open to all NDHU students.
- Students who complete registration and attend the full lecture will receive 2 hours of Diverse Progress credit.
- To ensure fairness, sign-in and sign-out must be completed in person. Proxy sign-ins are not permitted. Students arriving after 14:20 or failing to complete the required procedures will not receive credit.
